Confederation of African Football (CAF)’s executive committee is set to meet on Friday, June 21, 2024.
They are expected to discuss several issues including the dates of the upcoming 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) and 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals.
Both tournaments will be hosted by Morocco and there were reports of the AFCON finals being pushed forward, and this raised questions.
CAF has now announced that a virtual executive committee meeting will be chaired by its President Patrice Motsepe as the leaders of African football deliberate on key matters.
“The Confédération Africaine de Football (“CAF”) Executive Committee (“EXCO”) will hold a virtual meeting on Friday, 21 June 202,” a statement read.
“The EXCO, to be chaired by CAF President, Dr Patrice Motsepe will deliberate on a number of matters.
“The EXCO meeting will start at 17h00 Cairo time (14h00 GMT).”
