Gambia forward attracts top Premier League interest

According to fresh reports in English football media, Gambia star Yankuba Minteh is said to be on the radar of two Premier League clubs ahead of the 2024/25 season.

The 19-year-old enjoyed a promising 23/24 campaign, in which he managed to net 11 goals in 37 games across the board for Eredivisie outfit, Feyenoord.

As a result of his upturn in form, French side Olympique Lyon have reportedly made contact for Minteh this weekend. However, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Minteh has chosen Everton has his preferred destination while Newcastle have been keeping tabs on his current situation.

“Yankub Minteh, giving priority to Everton as his favorite destination with desire to play in the Premier League,” Romano said.

“Newcastle, informed of his priority to join Everton.

“Olympique Lyon are interested as they made contact for Minteh this weekend, as revealed yesterday.”
