Bafana set to headline COSAFA Cup openers

With the eagerly anticipated COSAFA Cup commencing this week, Eswatini and Botswana will go toe-to-toe at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Wednesday’s early fixture, which will be followed by a mouthwatering clash between South Africa and Mozambique.
Often billed as a tournament for young players to obtain exposure, stars from Eswatini, Botswana, South Africa and Mozambique will be under the spotlight in Group A on Wednesday.
The 23rd edition of the showpiece will see invited guests Kenya join in on the action, along with 11 COSAFA based-nations.
As the headline encounter this week, Helman Mkhalele’s South Africa will be looking to improve on their 3rd placed finish in last year’s edition of the competition.
The match between Eswatini and Botswana Is scheduled to take place at 3:00pm (CAT), with Bafana’s clash against Mozambique jotted down for the 6:00pm (CAT) kick-off.
