Following the latest set of Cosafa Cup fixtures, reigning champions Zambia remain winless in Group B while Angola, Namibia, Seychelles and Lesotho eye top spot in Group C.

As one of the most in form teams of the tournament, Zimbabwe recorded a 2-0 victory over Zambia at the Isaac Wolfson Stadium on Sunday. Michael Tapera got the Warriors off to a flyer by getting his name on the scoresheet in the 8th minute.

Takunda Benhura then doubled his nation’s advantage moments before the half-time whistle, as the Zambian’s struggled to get themselves into the tie. The Copper Bullets were reduced to 10 men soon after the half-hour mark, which greatly affected their gameplay for much of the encounter.

As it stands, Zimbabwe occupy top spot in Group B, while Zambia sit in 4th position with one game left to play.

Elsewhere, all of Namibia, Lesotho, Angola and Seychelles will hope to record their first victories of the competition at the Isaac Wolfson Stadium in Monday’s list of fixtures. Firstly, Angola will take on Seychelles in the early afternoon kick-off (12pm CAT), which will be followed by a contest between Namibia and Lesotho at 3:00pm CAT.
