German football powerhouse Bayern Munich have signed Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) target Michael Olise.
The 22-year-old forward moves to Munich from English Premier League club Crystal Palace on a five-year contract valid through to 30 June 2029.
Olise, who is eligible to play for Nigeria, Algeria and England, is a France under-23 international, and he is set to represent the European country at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
“The talks with FC Bayern were very positive, and I’m very happy to now be playing for such a big club,” Olise said.
“It’s a great challenge, and that’s exactly what I was looking for.
“I want to prove myself at this level and play my part in ensuring that we win as many titles as possible with our team in the coming years.”
Former Nigeria head coach Gernot Rohr has previously confirmed the NFF’s interest in the former Reading FC star.
Olise will remain eligible to play for Nigeria, England and Algeria even if he plays for France in the Paris 2024 Olympics.
