Zamalek star Abdullah El Said netted a brace in their 2-1 victory over Ismaily on Sunday, becoming the third all-time top scorer in Egyptian League history.

The 38-year-old scored twice in the space of five minutes to secure a victory over the club where he started his football career.

El Said has now scored 128 goals in the Premier League, overtaking the 127 goals scored by El Sayed El Dhizui, who played for Al Ahly and El Masry, in the early era of the Egyptian top flight.

El Said, one of the oldest players in the Egyptian League this season, started his journey in the league with Ismaily in 2004 and quickly established himself as a rising talent.

He scored 36 league goals for the coastal club before moving to Cairo in 2011 to wear the famous red jersey of Al Ahly.

El Said enjoyed his best spell in the league with the Red Eagles, where he scored 50 league goals and won four league titles, among various domestic and continental honours during his six years at the club.

After a short spell in Finland and Saudi Arabia, El Said returned to Egyptian League for a third spell with Pyramids, where he played a massive role in establishing the club as the new force in the Egyptian League.

El Said entered the 100-goal club in the league during his time at Pyramids and took his tally to 124 goals before adding four more goals with Zamalek since he joined the club last summer.

Hossam Hassan, the current manager of the Egyptian national team, is second in the list with 168 goals, behind the all-time top scorer, former Tersana striker Hassan El Shazly, who scored 173 goals.
