Zimbabwe international Munashe Garananga has opened up about why he recently joined FC Copenhagen.
The 23-year-old centre-back joined the Danish giants on a four-year contract and he most recently played for Belgium’s Mechelen.
Mechelen bought him in January 2024 from FC Sheriff in Moldova, and he is keen to win the Danish Superliga title with Copenhagen.
“It has gone very strongly for me in the past few years, but I have always felt ready to take the next step,” Garananga told the club website.
“I have had no doubts that this is an opportunity I must seize, and it will be really cool to get started at FC Copenhagen.
“I have not been able to avoid noticing the club’s great results. I’m looking forward to joining the team and helping to win the Danish championship next season.”
Garananga has played four international matches for Zimbabwe, where he made his debut in November 2023.
