'No changes' - Conte comments on Osimhen's future

Napoli SSC manager Antonio Conte has issued an update on Nigeria international Victor Osimhen who has been linked with top European clubs.

Regarded as one of the best players in the world, the 25-year-old striker has been tipped to leave Napoli FC this European summer transfer window.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Paris Saint Germain (PSG) have all been credited with an interest in Osimhen who has a €130 million buyout clause in his contract with Napoli.

Conte confirmed there was an agreement between the player and the club to sell the 2023 CAF African Footballer of the Year, but there have been ‘no changes’ regarding his future.

“I spoke to Victor and there are no changes in his situation. He’s a top player,” Osimhen said according to Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano.

“He’s Napoli player today so he needs to work hard, even if we have an agreement [for his potential exit] and still we don’t know the outcome of this story.”

Osimhen is contracted to Napoli until 2026 and he has netted 76 goals in 133 matches for the Italian giants.
