Nigeria international Paul Onuachu will not come cheap amid reported interest in his services from Turkey and Saudi Arabia.
The towering centre forward is back at English club Southampton after a successful loan stint at Trabzonspor in Turkey where he scored 17 goals in 25 matches across all competitions.
Trabzonspor and Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Okhood are the two clubs that have been credited with an interest in Onuachu who is one of the tallest African strikers at 2,01 meters tall.
However, Southampton owner Rasmus Ankersen has made it known that that 30-year-old will only be sold at the right price.
“My phone rings every day when people want to talk about Onuachu. But if you want to buy a Ferrari, you cannot come up with Fiat money,” Ankersen said on NTVSpor.
Onuachu’s future with Southampton is uncertain having made 12 competitive appearances since he joined the Premier League side in February 2023 – failing to score a single goal.
He has three goals and 21 caps for Nigeria.
