As the second round of Men’s Football at the 2024 Paris Olympics approaches, Morocco will hope to make it two wins on the trot when they face Ukraine in a Group B match at the Stade Stade Geoffroy-Guichard on Saturday.

Morocco go into their next encounter on the back of a controversial 2-1 victory over Argentina on Wednesday while Ukraine suffered a 2-1 loss against Iraq in their initial Olympic assignment.

In the fixture between Morocco and Argentina, coach Javier Mashcerano was left fuming after Giuliano Simeone’s late equalizer was ruled out as offside two hours after injury time, after the game was suspended for almost two hours as a result of fan protests on the pitch.

As for Ukraine, Ruslan Rotan’s side are currently sitting at the bottom of Group B, while Morocco will be keen to extend their three-point advantage over their upcoming opponents.
