After a stuttering start to the Men’s Football tournament at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, Egypt and Uzbekistan are scheduled to do battle at Stade de la Beaujoire on Saturday afternoon.

Despite suffering a 2-1 loss against Spain in their opening football fixture earlier this week, Uzbekistan’s valiant performance was well appreciated by supporters at Parc des Princes as the European nation made their debut in the Men’s Football Tournament.

As for Egypt, the Young Pharoah’s commenced their Olympic bid with a 0-0 draw against the Dominican Republic this past Wednesday.

While Egypt struggled to bury their chances throughout the 90 minutes, the Dominican Republic did well to keep the popular African nation at bay during their inaugural Olympic appearance.

Rogerio Micale and his charges currently occupy 2nd spot in Group C and will face the mighty Spain in their final group fixture next week.
