Guinea will go head to head with the United States of America (USA) in their third men’s match at the Paris 2024 Olympics on Monday, 29 July.

Kick-off is at 21h00 CAT.

The Group A match will take place at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard in a city and the prefecture of the Loire département, in eastern-central France, called Saint-Étienne.

Guinea began their Group A campaign with a 2-1 loss to New Zealand on 24 July before succumbing to a narrow 1-0 defeat to hosts France on 27 July.

The Young National Elephants are placed fourth in the group standings and they need to secure a win over the USA to boost their chances of reaching the quarter-finals.

Meanwhile, USA suffered a 3-0 defeat to France in their maiden Group A match on 24 July before securing an emphatic 4-1 victory over New Zealand on 27 July.

The Young Stars and Stripes are placed second in the group standings and they will book their spot in the quarter-finals if they claim a victory over Guinea.

In Head-to-Head stats, it will be the second meeting between Guinea and USA at this level (under-23).

The USA emerged as 3-0 winners over Guinea in an international friendly match played in March 2024.
