Morocco & US set up exciting QF clash

As one of the leading footballing nations from the African continent, Morocco are hoping to book their place in the semi-finals of the Men’s Football tournament at the 2024 Paris Olympics when they take on the United States at the Parc des Princes on Friday.

Morocco and Egypt are the only African nations competing in the knockout phase of the competition, with the latter set to face Paraguay tomorrow.

Following victories against Argentina and Iraq, Morocco finished at the top of Group B while the US came in at 2nd place in Group A.

After suffering a 3-0 loss to hosts France in their initial Group stage fixture, the US subsequently bounced back with convincing victories against New Zealand and Guinea.

As far as team news are concerned, it’s been reported that Gianluca Busio is a doubt for the upcoming tie after the midfielder suffered a leg injury during the group stage.

Morocco is said to have no real injury concerns ahead of their quarter-final clash.
