As South African club football returns, Stellenbosch will lock horns with TS Galaxy in the MTN8 quarter-finals at the Danie Craven Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Kick-off is at 15:00 CAT.

The match will serve as decent preparation for both teams ahead of the new highly-anticipated Betway Premiership season which will begin in September.

Galaxy have made a number of changes to their squad with players coming into the team and others making their way out. Most notably, Bernard Parker was released but will still be in the fold as the coach of the DStv Diski Challenge team.

Ahead of the match against Stellenbosch, Sead Ramovic said the Rockets have a tough test ahead and it will be a good test for their readiness going forward.

“We finished sixth but we’ve sold some of our best players, so what expectations? We didn’t invest anything again but we sold players,” he said.

“If we can finish in the top eight again, that’d be magical. We will try our best.”

The PSL also announced that the prize money for the title has increased and the champions will receive R10 million. Each team will receive R1 million for participating in the competition as well.
