Algerian giants CR Belouizdad have announced the signing of South Africa international Khanyisa Mayo.

The left-footed forward has joined the 10-time Algerian champions from South African Premiership club Cape Town City on a permanent deal.

Mayo scored 10 goals and provided one assist in 28 matches as he helped City finish fifth in the league during the 2023/24 season.

Belouizdad revealed that the 25-year-old had joined the club on a three-year deal.

“South African national team striker Mayo Khanyisa A 24-year-old officially joins the ranks of Blouzdad youth with a contract lasting three years,” a club statement read.

Mayo scooped the 2022/23 DStv Premiership Golden Boot award after scoring 12 goals in 27 matches for City. He has earned seven Bafana Bafana caps without scoring.

Belouizdad will compete in the CAF Champions League having been pitted against AC Leopards of Congo-Brazzaville in the first preliminary round later this month.
