Guinean star Ilaix Moriba has returned to the Spanish La Liga after completing his transfer to Celta Vigo.
The central midfielder has joined the Sky Blues on a season-long loan deal from German Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig.
Moriba is back in Spain having started his career at FC Barcelona and he also had spells with Getafe CF and Valencia CF on loan from Leipzig.
Celta revealed that they have an option to purchase the former Spain under-17 and under-18 international.
“The Celta midfield has been given quality, depth and strength with the arrival of Ilaix Moriba, on loan, with an option to buy, from RB Leipzig until the end of the season.
The 21-year-old, who holds both Spanish and Guinean citizenship, has 23 caps and one goal for Guinea.
He also represented the West African country at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
