AFC Leopards have pulled off a coup with the capture of Bright Stars captain Peter Maker on a free transfer.

The 30-year-old centre-back had been without a club since he parted ways with Serbian side Radnicki SM in January this year.

Maker began his career with Al-Ghazal and has also played for Amarat United and ZESCO United on the African continent before moving to Europe in July 2023.

The South Sudan international has now looking to make a name for himself in the Kenyan Premier League after putting pen to paper on a two-year contract with Ingwe.

“Joining this wonderful club with such a rich history makes me happy and grateful. It is a pleasure to be here with excellent staff and team-mates. I am excited to be part of this incredible team,” Maker said.

“I have observed a lot of talent in this squad since the first day I trained with them. We have had an excellent pre-season and the team has a lot of promising players. We are prepared to contend for the league this season.

“I cannot wait to see every AFC Leopards fan in the stadium on Sunday, everyone. I want to enjoy this season with you because you are the best fans in the nation.”
