After being relegated from the Premier League during the 2023/24 campaign, Burnley striker Lyle Foster has reportedly attracted interest from Ipswich Town with a move back to the English top flight now in place.

The South African international swiftly became a fan favourite among the Burnley faithful after signing for the club in October 2023.

During a campaign of personal ups and downs, Foster scored five goals in 26 Premier League games last season, while bagging five assists along the way.

Now though, Football Journalist Sacha Tavolieri has reported that Foster is ‘close’ to joining Ipswich Town on loan for the 24/25 campaign.

“EXCL. Lyle Foster now close to be loaned with a mandatory option to Ipswich Town!,” Tavolieri reported on X.

“Obligation to buy fixed at £25M. Not a done deal yet but clubs are currently in advanced talks in order to find an agreement.”
