Senegal makes changes in Aliou Cisse's technical team

The Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) has announced the appointment of Pape Thiaw as the first assistant coach to Aliou Cisse.


Thiaw replaces Régis Bogaert who departs after several years in the role as the Lions of Teranga reached back-to-back Africa Cup of Nations finals and won the 2021 edition.


Thiaw is an experienced coach who led Senegal to the 2021 African Nations Championship (CHAN) title.


FSF released the following statement on their official website:


Following the departure of Mr. Régis BOGAERT, former assistant coach of the Senegalese National Football Team A, the Senegalese Football Federation, through its National Technical Directorate, has reorganized the staff of the national team A as follows:


Aliou CISSE , National coach


Pape Bouna THIAW, 1st Assistant National Coach


Teddy PELLERIN, 2nd Assistant National Coach


Hussein Bichara FARHAT, Physical trainer
