Egyptian superstar Mohamed Salah insists he is only focusing on enjoying his last year as a Liverpool FC player.
The 32-year-old winger is yet to sign a new deal at the English giants having entered the final 10 months of his current contract with the club.
Salah was a wanted man in Saudi Arabia last year and Liverpool rejected a whopping £150 million offer from Al-Ittihad for the accomplished player.
“Before the season, I was just like ‘I’ve got one year left, let’s just enjoy it and don’t think about the contract’,” Salah told Sky Sports.
“I don’t want to think about next year or the future, I just want to enjoy the last year [of my contract] and let’s see.
“The most important thing is to take one day at a time and just be grateful to be here.”
Salah has had a great start to the 2024/25 season – scoring twice and providing an assist in two English Premier League matches for the Reds.
He will captain Egypt as they take on Cape Verde on 6 September and Botswana on 10 September in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers.
