As the quest for glory on the African continent continues, Mamelodi Sundowns will be on the positive end of a venue change in their latest CAF Champions League second-round fixture, while Orlando Pirates and Al Ahly are set to feature in high-profile clashes this weekend.
Sundowns, who were scheduled to play an away tie against Mbabane Swallows on Saturday, will take to the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium instead. According to reports, no stadium in Eswatini was passed fit for use in international competition by CAF, which prompted the club to choose the Atteridgeville ground for their home tie.
While Sundowns will be taking to one of their home grounds in their away fixture, fellow PSL outfit Orlando Pirates will travel to the Botswana National Stadium where they will take on Jwangeng Galaxy on Saturday afternoon.
The Sea Robbers will play Jwangeng Galaxy in the second preliminary round of the CAF Champions League for the second season running, which also happens to be the side who knocked Pirates out of the competition last time out.
Elsewhere, Gor Mahia will welcome reigning CAF Champions League winners Al Ahly to the Nyayo National Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Now under the tutelage of Marcel Koller, Al Ahly are currently on course to bag their 13th CAF Champions League title this season.
