Three further teams have advanced into the group stage of the 2024-25 CAF Confederation Cup, with CD Lunda Sul, CS Sfaxien and CS Constantine securing progression from Saturday’s three second-round, second-leg qualifying matches.

Angola’s Lunda Sul suffered a 2-1 defeat in Polokwane against South African hosts Sekhukhune United, but Guilherme’s 36th minute strike proved the difference in the tie overall, as the Saurimo-based club advanced on the away goal rule.

In Tunisia, CS Sfaxien defeated Burundi’s Rukinzo 1-0 (2-0 on aggregate) courtesy of a second-half strike from Firas Sekkouhi, while Algeria’s CS Constantine recorded the same result at home to Ghana’s Nsoatreman (for a 3-0 aggregate triumph) through an early goal from Ben Shaa.

The Confederation Cup continues today, Sunday 22 September, with 10 matches across the continent, headlined by the likes of Enyimba, ASEC Mimosas, AS Vita, Simba SC and USM Alger.
