Oshoala surprisingly omitted from latest Nigeria squad

Record six-time African Women’s Footballer of the Year Asisat Oshoala has been omitted from the Nigeria squad that will face Algeria.

This is despite the former Arsenal FC, Liverpool FC and FC Barcelona star enjoying regular game time at her current club, Bay FC in the National Women’s Soccer League.

Nigeria and Algeria will meet in two international friendly matches which are scheduled to be played in Lagos at the end of this month.

Super Falcons’ head Coach Justine Madugu has invited captain Rasheedat Ajibade, goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie and 23 other players.

The matches are billed for the picturesque Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Lagos Island on Saturday, 26th October and Tuesday, 29th October respectively.
