Sevilla may look to offload Kelechi Iheanacho in January following his struggles in the opening four months of the La Liga season.

The Nigeria international ended a 10-year stay in England when he left Leicester in July to sign for the Palanganas on a free transfer.

However, the move hasn’t quite panned out yet as Iheanacho has failed to score in seven top-flight appearances for Pimienta’s side, with his only two goals coming against lower-league Las Rozas in the Copa del Rey on October 30.

The Andalusian outfit are amongst the lowest scores in the league with 13 goals from their opening 14 matches and they have been linked with Gremio striker Martin Braithwaite.

Spanish sports publication Estadio Deportivo asked Sevilla Sporting Director Victor Orta about the possibility of bringing Braithwaite to the Estadio Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan and was met with a simple answer of “no”.

Orta has reportedly decided that Iheanacho has no future in Seville and is hoping to ship him off on loan back to England to a Championship club.

The 28-year-old striker spent last term in the second tier of English football, where is bagged just five goals in 23 games as the Foxes won the title.
