Al Hilal Omdurman maintained their 100 per cent win record in the CAF Champions League group stage as the big guns dropped points.

The Sudanese giants are the only team to have won their first two matches after securing a 2-1 victory over DR Congolese giants TP Mazembe in a Group A clash in Nouakchott on Sunday.

The action started on Friday with Angolan side Sagrada Esperança holding Tunisian champions Esperance to a 0-0 draw in Luanda leaving the latter placed second in the Group D standings.

In Johannesburg, an encounter between defending champions Al Ahly and 1995 winners Orlando Pirates ended in a 0-0 draw on Saturday, but the former remained at the top of the Group C standings.

While Sundowns remained second in the Group B standings after letting a lead slip in their 1-1 draw with Moroccan side AS FAR Rabat in El Jadida where Mohamed Hrimat cancelled out Iqraam Rayners’ opener on Saturday.

In Bamako, Djoliba AC picked up their first point in Group D when they drew 0-0 with Egyptian outfit Pyramids FC, the group leaders, who were tamed by the hosts’ stubborn defence on the day.
