Simba head coach Fadlu Davids has vowed to get their CAF Confederation Cup campaign back on track by beating CS Sfaxien at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium on Sunday.
The Msimbazi Reds squandered the lead against CS Constantine last weekend to lose 2-1 on the road and they occupy third place in Group A, three points off top spot.
Davids’ side will be looking to maintain their 100 per cent record on home soil in the competition this season after triumphing 1-0 over Bravos do Maquis on matchday 1.
Davids has urged Simba fans to come out in their numbers to support his team in Dar es Salaam as he targets a return to winning ways following the setback in Algeria.
“I promise Simba members and fans victory and clean football. Come in large numbers to Benjamin Mkapa on Sunday. When the stadium is full, it motivates the players to perform better,” the South African tactician said.
“We were unlucky in the last match, but we are determined to bounce back and secure a positive result against CS Sfaxien.”
