Egypt captain Mohamed Salah has disclosed his main target after surpassing English Premier League legend Frank Lampard.
The world-class winger scored twice to inspire Liverpool FC to a 2-0 victory over AFC Bournemouth in a league encounter on Saturday night.
Therefore, Salah is now 178 goals which elevated him to the sixth spot on the list of players with 100 or more Premier League goals.
The 32-year-old surpassed ex-Chelsea star Lampard who netted 177 times which is a record of the most goals by a midfielder in the league.
“It feels good to be fair! Scoring goals, team winning, it’s an incredible feeling,” Salah said before stating that he is eyeing the Premier League title.
“But I said many times before that my main target this season is to win the Premier League with the team.
“We are going in the right direction so hopefully we can keep going like this.”
Liverpool are ninth points clear of second-placed Arsenal FC with 15 matches left and Salah is also sitting at the top of the league’s scoring charts with 21 goals.
