Munetsi: ‘African football is more difficult than European football’

Zimbabwe and Wolves midfielder Marshall Munetsi believes that African football is more demanding than European football as he continues to shine in the Premier League.

In South Africa, Munetsi plied his trade for clubs such as Blue Rangers, FC Cape Town and also, Orlando Pirates. The towering midfielder then jetted to France, where he made a name for himself in the colours of Stade Reims.

Now with Wolves in the Premier League, Munetsi claimed that playing in Africa is more taxing than that of the European game.

“I think in general, African football is much more difficult than European football,” Munetsi said, as per iDiski Times.

They always say it’s much more difficult to win an away game in Africa than in Europe, so that’s why all of you guys are always counting us out. There’s weather, there’s some funny tricks that do happen in African football.

“I think you get experience from playing and seeing what other people are achieving.”
