A place in the 2025 FIFA Under-17 World Cup finals and CAF Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations quarter-finals will be at stake when four teams take to the pitch on Sunday.

The eight quarter-finalists and two playoff finalists at the ongoing U17 AFCON tournament will qualify for the U17 World Cup finals in Qatar.

South Africa and Burkina Faso are set to meet in a Group B match at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca, the largest city in Morocco.

South Africa managed to hold Cameroon to a 0-0 draw in their previous Group B encounter, which was played on Thursday.

Therefore, South Africa are placed second in the group standings – two points behind leaders, Burkina Faso and SA will progress to the quarter-finals if they avoid a defeat.

Burkina Faso booked their place in the quarter-finals after securing a 2-1 victory over Egypt in their previous Group B match, which was played on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Cameroon will face Egypt at the El Bachir Stadium, Mohammedia, a port city in the region of Casablanca-Settat.

Cameroon are placed fourth in the group standings – three points behind second-placed South Africa and the former can only progress to the quarter-finals if they defeat Egypt, and SA lose to Burkina Faso.

Egypt, on the other hand, are placed fourth in the group standings and they have already been eliminated from the tournament, but a win over Cameroon could earn them a place in the World Cup playoff.

Both matches will kick-off at 18h00 CAT.
