Galatasaray Vice-President: ‘We want him to stay with us’

Galatasaray Vice-President Ibrahim Hatipoglu is hopeful that Victor Osimhen will stay at the club after attracting interest from the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal.

The Nigerian striker is currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli and has been in fine goal scoring form for the Turkish giants this season. While Osimhen recently suggested that the 2024/25 season could be his last at the club, Hatipoglu hopes that the 26-year-old will stay for the foreseeable future.

“His words don’t mean he’s leaving,” Hatipoglu told AS, as per Footballtransfers.

“He said that even if he left in the worst-case scenario, Galatasaray would always be in his heart.

“But he didn’t say he’s leaving. We want him to stay with us.”
