Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim expressed his happiness at the return of Amad Diallo, who he believes adds a specific skill set to his current attacking department.

Diallo, who suffered an ankle injury in February, recently returned to action during Manchester United’s 3-0 win against Athletic Bilbao in the Europa League.

Speaking on Amad’s return, Amorim expressed that the Ivorian needs to get up to speed during the final stages of the campaign.

“So to lose a player like that in that moment with a lot of games was really hard for us and especially for Amad, because he was leaving a good moment. But now he’s returning,” Amorim said, as per Tribuna.

“You can feel that he’s not so explosive in the moment, but he’s a player with a characteristic left foot, different from Garnacho, that has one against one.

“And we don’t have many players, to do that. So it’s massive for us. And he’s one more option to play.”
