Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi will be leave the club at the end of the season despite ending the club’s decade-long trophy drought.
The Tunisian national and his entire technical staff will leave Kaizer Chiefs at the end of the season as decided by the club’s leadership, the Sunday Times reports.
This comes after Nabi guided Chiefs to their first trophy in 10 years, defeating rivals Orlando Pirates 2-1 in the Nedbank Cup final on Saturday.
Nabi has made a habit out of winning cup competitions in Africa, having won the Tanzania FA Cup twice with Young Africans and the Moroccan Thorne Cup with AS FAR as a head coach.
Nabi joined AmaKhosi in July on a two year deal with the option to extend his stay for another year, but has not produced satisfactory results in the Betway Premiership.
Kaizer Chiefs are winless in their last seven league games and sit ninth in the league, currently missing out on a spot in the top eight on goal difference. AmaKhosi have won eight games, lost 12 and drawn six in the league this season.
