The 2024/25 Betway Premiership season and the relegation battle within it will come to a conclusion on Thursday as SuperSport United and Lamontville Golden Arrows will complete their postponed fixture.

The two sides’ match on 23 February was suspended by officials, as loadshedding struck the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville after the first half was already played.

The PSL announced that the game will be played at the same venue on 29 May, resuming from the start of the second half, with the score level at 1-1 as it was when play was suspended.

Whilst the fixture is of little importance to Golden Arrows, who have already secured safety, SuperSport have everything to play for in the fixture’s remaining 45 minutes.

Matsatsantsa a Pitori sit in the relegation zone, one point behind Cape Town City. They will need a draw or a victory to remain in the Betway Premiership next season while a loss will see them join Casric Stars and Orbit College in the PSL Promotion Playoffs. A loss in these playoffs would send them to the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

Kick-off is at 12pm.
