Johannesburg, 23 May 2025 – Team Shield MEN secured a thrilling 3:1 victory over Team Nivea MEN in the final of the inaugural BroScape Fives Championship, hosted by Clicks at Discovery Soccer Park in Sandton. Powered by Clicks BroNation, the event highlighted the retailer’s commitment to men’s grooming, health and wellness.


BroNation is a Clicks initiative designed to create a positive space for men to connect around grooming, health, and mental well-being. It emphasises authenticity, self-care, and brotherhood – redefining what it means to look good, feel good, and show up confidently.


The championship featured teams from leading brands, including BIC, Centrum, Dorco, Dove Men+Care, Gillette, L’Oréal Men Expert, Nivea MEN, Schick, Shield MEN, and Vaseline Men. Attendees enjoyed a blend of sport and self-care, with activation stations from BIC, Centrum, Dove Men+Care, GNC, L’Oréal, Nivea, Sorbet MAN, and VW keeping fans engaged throughout the day.


Football legends Teko Modise, Josta Dladla, Oupa Manyisa, Mpho Makola, Linda Mntambo, Tshepo Masilela, Lehlohonolo Majoro, George Lebese, Tristan Moses, and Lebohang ‘Cheeseboy’ Mokoena mentored brand teams and brought serious game-day energy. They were joined on the pitch by Mzansi’s finest: Sweet Guluva, DJ Naves, Akona Ndungane, Zamani Mbatha, Donovan Goliath, Tembinkosi Ngcukana, Arno Greeff, Senzo Radebe, and Wiseman Mncube, among others.


Individual accolades were awarded by football great Mark Williams to Kwenzo Ngcobo (Best Swag), Tshepo Liphoko for team Shield MEN (Golden Boot), Josta Dladla for team Nivea MEN (Golden Glove), and ‘Shakes’ for Shield MEN (Man of the Tournament).
