Fadlu Davids, head coach of Simba SC, has been named the Tanzanian Premier League Coach of the Month for May.
The South African guided his team to an undefeated month in the Tanzanian Premier League despite their tough schedule, winning all five of their league fixtures, scoring 11 goals and conceding only three.
However, Davids was unable to capture continental glory this month as his side lost 3-1 on aggregate to RS Berkane in the CAF Confederations Cup final, spoiling what would have been an even more incredible month for the coach and his side.
This is the 44-year-old’s third time claiming the award since his arrival in the country at the start of the season.
Davids has had an undeniably positive impact at Simba, already surpassing the club’s points tally from their previous league campaign and guiding them to a continental final, all in his first season.
Simba currently sit second in the Tanzanian Premier League, one point behind league leaders Young Africans with three fixtures remaining.
