Al Ahly have bolstered their goalkeeping options with the signing of Mohamed Seha from Arab Contractors on a long-term contract.

The 24-year-old spent last season on loan with Haras El Hodoud and gained valuable top-flight experience following his parent club’s relegation from the Egyptian Premier League in 2023-24.

Seha made 14 appearances in the league and kept seven clean sheets as El Sawahel finished ninth in the Championship Group.

The former Egypt Under-23 international, who represented his country at the 2024 Olympics in Paris, joins the Red Eagles as a replacement for Hamza Alaa.

“It is a different feeling as Ahly is the biggest club in Africa and I hope to prove myself here,” Seha said in a video posted on the club’s official website after penning a five-year deal.

“I felt a warm reception here from everyone. I received many offers but I didn’t hesitate to accept Ahly offer. It was my dream since I was a child to be Ahly player.”

Seha is the third new addition to Jose Riveiro’s squad since the campaign concluded on May 31 following the recent arrivals of Hamdy Fathy and Mahmoud Trezeguet.
