Moroccan Botola Pro League club Hassania Agadir has announced Amir Abdou as their new head coach.

The French tactician has served as the head coach of Mauritania and Comoros in Africa, and he guided both countries to the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Round of 16.

Abdou replaces Moroccan tactician Abdelhadi Sektioui, who had led the team to a 12th-place finish in the league during the 2024/25 season.

“Al-Hassaniyah FC Akadir Athletic Federation is pleased to announce the selection of coach Amir Abdo to lead the first team in the next stage,” a club statement read.

“Coach Amir Abdo is considered one of the shining names in the coaching world at African level, and we are confident that his experience and competence will be a real addition to the club.”

The last time Abdou coached an African club was between 2020 and 2022, coaching FC Nouadhibou in Mauritania.
