Tottenham Hotspur have expressed interest in signing Brentford striker Bryan Mbeumo.
Spurs are reportedly joining the race for the striker’s signature, with the 25-year-old’s former Brentford manager Thomas Frank making the switch to Spurs on Thursday.
Mbeumo has played under Frank since joining The Bees from French second tier side Troyes in 2019 for a club record signing at the time.
Manchester United made an offer for the Cameroonian international earlier this month worth £55 million but Brentford felt it fell short of Mbeumo’s value, according to BBC Sport.
Tottenham have yet to make a formal offer for the player, with the BBC reporting that Mbeumo has attracted interest from other Champions League clubs with the player having one year left on his current contract.
Mbeumo played all 38 Premier League games for Brentford this past season, scoring 20 goals and providing seven assists. The Cameroonian was the league’s fourth highest goal scorer in the 2024/25 campaign.
The striker represented Cameroon in the 2022 FIFA World Cup after switching allegiance from France, where he was born.
