Partey’s lawyer responds to charges

After it was reported that Thomas Partey was charged with five counts of rape, the former Arsenal midfielder’s lawyer recently released a statement indicating that the 32-year-old wants to clear his name.

In what was news that gripped the football world in the last 48-hours, Partey was charged with five counts of rape that allegedly took place between 2021 and 2022.

According to his lawyer, Jenny Wiltshire, Partey will continue to deny the charges brought against his name.

“Thomas Partey denies all the charges against him,” Wiltshire said in a statement, as per Football London.

“He has fully cooperated with the police and CPS throughout their three-year investigation.

“He now welcomes the opportunity to finally clear his name. Given that there are now ongoing legal proceedings, my client is unable to comment further.”
