Egypt will look to confirm its spot at the 2026 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday as the Pharaohs face Djibouti at the Stade Larbi Zaouli in Casablanca, Morocco.

Kick-off is at 6pm CAT.

Djibouti has struggled in its World Cup qualifying campaign, managing to collect only one point from its eight games so far. The country has managed one draw, which came against Ethiopia June 2024 but has lost all of its other fixtures.

Although the nation has no chance of qualifying, the Shoremen of the Red Sea will be looking to end their campaign on a high note and finally claim an elusive victory.

In contrast, Egypt have enjoyed a stellar campaign and sit atop group A with 20 points. The nation has won six matches and drawn two.

The Pharaohs are five points ahead of second place Burkina Faso and could book their spot at the World Cup with a win on Wednesday, putting them out of reach. Should Burkina Faso fail to win, Egypt will qualify, regardless of their results against Djibouti.
