Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Cedric Kaze is convinced they will beat AS Simba on Sunday to qualify for the CAF Confederation Cup group stages.

The Glamour Boys have struggled to kick on this season after winning four of their opening five matches in the Betway Premiership, with a 0-0 draw against Siwelele on Wednesday extending their winless run to four games in all competitions.

Chiefs kept the Kolwezi outfit at bay in the first leg of their second-round tie in Lubumbashi last weekend to give themselves every chance of progressing in the competition and just one goal at the Dobsonville Stadium will get the job done.

Kaze acknowledged after the Siwelele stalemate that his team haven’t been consistent enough and suggested the congested fixture schedule had a role to play.

“Football has its miseries. It’s very hard to keep the consistency, but I think overall the performance was good. Not very good, but it was good,” he said.

“I am not confident; I am sure we are going to qualify [for the CAF Confederation Cup group stages].”
