CAF confirms Egypt as Hosts of CAF Women’s Champions League 2025

The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) has confirmed that Egypt will host the 2025 edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League.

The Final Draw will be conducted in Cairo, Egypt, at 13h00 local time (10h00 GMT) on Monday, 27 October 2025.

The CAF Women’s Champions League 2025 is scheduled to take place from 8 to 21 November 2025 in Egypt.

Eight teams will contest this year’s tournament, divided into two groups of four.

Qualified Teams:

Host Country Representative: FC Masar (Egypt)

Defending Champions: TP Mazembe (DR Congo)

UNAF Zone (North Africa): AS FAR (Morocco)

WAFU Zone A (West Africa A): USFAS Bamako (Mali)

WAFU Zone B (West Africa B): ASEC Mimosas (Ivory Coast)

UNIFFAC Zone (Central Africa): 15 Agosto de Akonibe (Equatorial Guinea)

COSAFA Zone (Southern Africa): Gaborone United Ladies (Botswana)

CECAFA Zone (East Africa): JKT Queens (Tanzania)

Egyptian international Sarah Essam, the first Arab woman to play professional football in England and Spain, will take part in the draw ceremony, which will be broadcast live on CAF TV.

Essam also served as an Official FIFA World Cup Ambassador in 2022, representing both Egypt and the Arab world on the global stage. She currently plays for the Egyptian national team and for Halifax Women FC in England, continuing to inspire the next generation of women footballers across Africa and beyond.

In accordance with the competition regulations, the host nation’s club (FC Masar) and the defending champions (TP Mazembe) will be designated as the top seeds and will lead Groups A and B, respectively.
