South African international Mohau Nkota scored late to secure a point for Al-Ettifaq in their Saudi Pro League clash with Al-Hazem as the two sides drew 2-2 at the Prince Mohamed bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam on Friday.
Nkota shared the pitch with fellow South African Elias Mokwana, who joined Al-Hazem on a season long loan from Tunisian side Espérance Sportive de Tunis.
Al-Ettifaq took an early lead through Khalid Al-Ghannam, who struck in the 14th minute.
The hosts, however, could not hold onto their lead. In the second half, Al-Hazm netted twice in quick succession as Fábio Martins netted in the 63rd minute and substitute Omar Al Somah added another in the 65th minute after just one minute on the pitch.
Nkota, who came on as a substitute in the 72nd minute, levelled the score in the 90th minute, tucking the ball into the bottom right corner from close range after a brilliant run from Majed Mohammed Yazid Dawran.
The 20-year-old joined Al-Ettifaq in July after a breakout season for Orlando Pirates in South Africa.
The youngster had already notched six caps for Bafana Bafana and seems to be finding his feet in Saudi Arabia, with two goals in seven league games.
Al-Ettifaq sit 11th on the table in the Saudi Pro League with eight points from seven games.
