The likes of Saint Eloi Lupopo and Stellenbosch FC provided viewers with drama and entertainment in their latest CAF Champions League and CAF Confederations Cup assignments on Sunday evening.
In the CAF Champions League, Lupopo avoided defeat when they jotted down a 1-1 draw with Al-Hilal at Stade de la Victoire on Sunday afternoon.
Al-Hilal took the lead in the 12th minute, owing to a close-range effort by Abdelraziq Omer inside the area. However, Ramos Kashala had the last say in the match, after he scored the leveller in the 79th minute by popping up in the right place at the right time to guide home a loose ball in the box.
As it stands, Lupopo are fourth in Group C after two matches with just one point to their name so far. Al-Hilal on the other hand are in second position, level on points with table toppers Mamelodi Sundowns.
In the CAF Confederations Cup, San Pedro moved into second place in Group A following their 2-0 win over Djoliba at Stade Laurent Pokou on Sunday.
