The Betway Premiership wraps up for the year this week, with six fixtures headlining the midweek action across South Africa.

The midweek madness begins with a Durban derby on Tuesday as Lamontville Golden Arrows host AmaZulu at the King Goodwill Zwelithini Stadium.

Lamontville Golden Arrows has produced mixed results in their last five league fixtures, losing three games and winning two. The team occupies 10th place on the standings with 16 points from 13 fixtures.

AmaZulu has enjoyed its start to the 2025/26 Betway Premiership campaign and has collected 21 points from thirteen games with six wins, four losses and three draws. Usuthu sit fifth on the log and will be looking to retain their position heading into the new year.

With five matches on Wednesday, the reigning champions headline the day’s action as Mamelodi Sundowns face Siwelele at the Dr Molemela Stadium in Bloemfontein.

Sundowns were knocked from top spot on the log by Orlando Pirates at the weekend and are now three points off of the leaders. Masandawana, who have 25 points from 12 games, have only lost one game in the league this campaign and will be looking to draw level with the Buccaneers at the summit.

Siwelele are yet to find their stride in the league, and sit in 12th place with 15 points after 14 games. The newcomers have managed four wins, seven losses and three draws. A win at home against the current champions could provide the side with a much needed boost.

Kaizer Chiefs will be looking to keep pressure on the top of the table as they travel to the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha to face Chippa United.

AmaKhosi are fourth on the log with 22 points after playing 11 games and could come within three points of top spot with a win on Wednesday. The Phefeni Glamour Boys, like Sundowns, have lost only one league game this season to go with four draws and six victories and will be looking to finish 2025 in style.

Chippa United have yet to turn a corner under new head coach Vusumuzi Vilakazi and occupy bottom spot on the log with eight points from 14 games. The Chili Boys have registered three losses and two draws in their last five league games and will be looking to end a tough year on a positive note.

Magesi are up against Sekhukhune United at the Seshego Stadium in Polokwane on Wednesday.

Magesi are in the relegation zone with 11 points from 13 games, one point behind Stellenbosch. The club will be hunting its third win of the 2025/26 Betway Premiership campaign.

Sekhukhune United are third on the log with 22 points from 12 games, edging Kaizer Chiefs on goal difference. Babina Noko are without a win in their last five league games and will be looking to return to winning ways on Wednesday.

Orbit College will look to move further from the relegation zone against Durban City at Olympia Park in Rustenburg.

The Mswenko Boys have managed four wins, eight losses and one draw in 13 games since being promoted to the top flight and are looking to end a run of two losses in a row.

Durban City will be looking to bounce back from its 2-0 loss to Pirates at the weekend. The Citizens occupy the final spot in the top eight and will want to enter 2026 sitting in an MTN8 qualifying spot.

Wednesday’s fixtures wrap up with Stellenbosch hosting Polokwane City at the Athlone Stadium in Cape Town.

The Maroons have struggled this season and are one point above the relegation zone with only three wins from 13 games. In what has been a tough campaign so far, Stellies will be looking to move further from danger and end the year on a high note.

Polokwane City are in seventh place on the log, one point above Durban City. Rise and Shine have managed five wins, five draws and three losses in thirteen games.
