Bafana Bafana will warm up for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) with a friendly against Ghana next week before jetting off to Morocco.

Hugo Broos’ side get their title challenge underway against Angola on December 22 and will also take on Egypt and neighbours Zimbabwe in Group B.

However, the AFCON 2023 semi-finalists will play one final match on home soil against the Black Stars on December 16 in Gauteng at a yet to be determined venue to prepare for the continental showpiece.

South Africa will then depart for North Africa the following day to get ready for their Group B opener in Marrakesh, while they’ll travel to Agadir for the clash with the Pharaohs on December 26.

Ghana won’t be featuring at the tournament after failing to qualify for the first time since 2004 and they can expect to face a wall of noise as Bafana Bafana supporters look to give their team a rousing send-off.
