Etoile Sahel

Diables Rouges (Red Devils)

Etoile du Sahel have tremendous pedigree in African club competitions in recent years and were crowned Kings of the Continent after they won the CAF Champions League in 2007.
On that occasion the Tunisians defeated Egyptian giants Al-Ahly in the final, winning 3-1 in Cairo after their home leg had finished 0-0.
They were also runners-up twice before that, losing to Nigerian side Enyimba on penalties in the 2004 decider, and then suffering defeat to Al-Ahly the following year.
The side has also claimed the CAF Confederation Cup (2006), CAF Cup (1995, 1999), CAF Cup Winners’ Cup (1997, 2003) and African Super Cup (1998, 2008) in what has been a truly glorious 15        years of success on the continent.

Goalkeeper Aymen Mathlouthi is the current Tunisian number one, while midfielder Adel Chedli is a veteran international. Striker Lamjed Chehoudi is also a recent member of the Tunisian national        team.
