Botswana have only ever qualified for one African Cup of Nations in their footballing history.

The Zebras qualified for the 2012 showpiece which was co-hosted by the Equatorial Guinea and Gabon.

The Southern African side finished bottom of their group without managing a single point, Botswana lost all three of their group games to Ghana, Mali and Guinea respectively.

The Zebras are as of May 2014 ranked 22nd in Africa and 91st in the world.

Head Coach Peter Butler will be looking to his South African based players and top scorer Jerome Ramatlhakwane to guide Botswana to only their second major tournament.
