CongoTournament Review:
Congo Brazzaville came with high hopes at the 2015 Africa Cup under the helm of legendary French-born coach Claude Le Roy.
The 1972 champions didn't disappoint in their first Africa Cup outing since 2000 after advancing from the group stage with two wins and a draw to finish top of Group A.
However, the wheels came off in the quarterfinals when Congo-Brazzaville squandered a 2-0 lead on the hour mark in a quarterfinal derby against their across-the-river rival against DR Congo to lose 4-2.
Congo, though, did draw a lot of attention and in particular their promising 22-year-old French-born striker Thievy Bifouma who was the Red Devils top scorer with three goals at the tournament.
