GabonGabon will be making their maiden appearance at the African Nations Championship after failing to qualify for the inaugural event in Cote d'Ivoire in 2009.
They have been drawn in Group A in 2011, along with hosts Sudan, Algeria and Uganda, and face a tough task to get out of the pool.
The full Gabonese side that has been so successful in international football over the last few years is dominated by overseas-based stars, and so we will see a new generation of international footballers from the country in Sudan.
Gabon will have the honour of opening the 2011 African Nations Championship when they play the hosts on February 4.
